Surgeon Hideki Kaji is transferred to Oarai Hospital, the 8th branch of Teito University Hospital in Oarai City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Hailed as a Tokyo super doctor, Kaji is proud. On her first day of work, Mifune Haruka, the daughter of a member of the Diet, is urgently hospitalized for appendicitis. At the same time, a poor old man named Tanami Shigeo whom Kaji helped on the street, is also admitted and it is discovered that he has a serious illness that cannot be cured. Kosuke Suzuki as Mamoru Hara (42)surgeon.
